Hello fellow pawrents!
Our name comes from Miso, Toast and Donut, three members of our furry family. It also echoes mi todo — “my everything” in Spanish. A pretty fitting name for a brand inspired by the little ones we’re slightly obsessed with.
Mitodo started with us being a little picky about things for our dogs. Okay, maybe very picky. 🐾
We’d find something we loved, then catch ourselves saying, “If only this was more supportive,” “Why are the steps so steep?” or “Can this look a little nicer in our home?”
There was always something we wished we could change. So we decided to create our own.
Things that ticked more of our boxes: safe for noses that spend all day on them, comfy for our dogs, practical for everyday life, and nice enough that we’d happily leave them in the living room. Because yes, our dogs run the house, but we’d still like it to look good.
We were especially fussy about what goes into them. The foam in the Kumo bed and Sora stairs is CertiPUR-US® certified and the Kumo’s cover fabric is OEKO-TEX® certified, because our dogs breathe right at bed level.
That same pickiness carries over to our supplements. We’re the pet parents who turn the packaging around, read the ingredient list and ask, “What does this actually do? And how much is in here?”
We wanted to feel confident about what we were adding to our dogs’ bowls. So we got involved in the details, choosing ingredients with a purpose, asking questions about amounts, and refining our formulas. There have been plenty of “Can we make this better?” conversations along the way.
Our dogs are at the heart of it all. They don’t care about our colour choices or how many times we’ve revised a design, but they’re very clear about which bed they’ll spend the whole afternoon in.
Mitodo is us taking all those “if only…” moments and turning them into everyday essentials we’re excited to share with you, from their favourite nap spot to the little extras in their bowl. 🤍
